Had a transmission flush done. Service guy said they put mercon V in the transmission. I always thought there was a mazda specific fluid that should be used. Anyone know?

Car is a 2006 Mazda 6i.

i think you may wanna read up on this thread.
the mazda specific ATF is M-V, however there are other alternatives
