I was thinking about installing a tranny temp gauge this weekend and was wondering what the normal operating temp is for our tranny's. O btw I have a 03 6i ATX. And as far as installing the gauge were would the best place be to put in the sending unit..I've searched and searched but haven't found anything worthwhile.
Thanks!

Get this and forget about it. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=sku This is the trans cooler that most 6club members have installed. It has a thermostatic bypass built in. No gauge needed.

well i kinda want a gauge to mount in my center vent(I'm looking for something to do over my spring break..haha). I have a volt water temp n oil pressure in my map compartment, and I have an extra temp gauge lying around and the range is like 100-300 or something, so i was wondering were normal operating temp was at for my tranny.

Perfect thanks! As far as putting in the temp sensor anyone know of a good spot? Possibly in one of the lines?

Hey I put the sensor inline with the return line to the tranny, I got a Sunpro gauge from pepboys and my trans oil cooler was from Jegs.com, anyway with 80 plus degree mine it's at 170-190 depending if the car is in motion and if the car idle for 30 minute the gauge barley move. Also my trans oil cooler came with a fan, I wire it to the radiator fan wires so whenever the radiator fans kicks in my trans oil cooler fan also kick in at the same time.
