Cpe no longer makes the shift kit for the 03 and 04 3.0 but i talked to Josh Adams CEO of CPE and he said that if we can get 5 people interested they will produce more, this isn't really a group buy, CPE is just willing to make more if we get 5 or more people to order. I believe the price is the same 439.00 with a 400.00 core charge, you get the 400.00 back when you send them your old valve body. These kits greatly improve transmission performance plus reduce heat, so let me know if you want one and we can finally get one.

So what you are saying is that when you return your core you get back 400. So when all said and done you pay only 39.00 plus shipping and applicable taxes. Then the install. That seems pretty good to me. I was considering one of these before but didn't think it was worth it. But now it does seem pretty good. I will have to read up to see how much difference it makes.

yeah no. it's $839, then you get the $400 back if you send them your valve bodies back.

You could also go to http://www.levelten.com/index.html They offer performance solenoid kits and upgraded valvebodies, torque convertors and pumps. I have spoken to them and they are very helpful. They are a 1st class shop that has worked on NASCAR trannys. Price is comeptitive. Most tranny places could do the modifications, or you can send them your valvebody. No core charge as far as I know.

Hope I am not threadjacking, just another option.

I would be interested in any company that can upgrade our Jatco transmission, Cpe makes quality products and i know their shift is good.

and though not dealing with the core might be nice, for some putting the car down for a couple weeks isn't an option. i'm sure if anyone interested talked to CP-E, they would work with you if you wanted to send them your VB first, then they would only charge the $439 or whatever to shoot out the new one. This would be even faster than what level10 could do (as they would have the VB ready to go on a shelf) and they've done them for this car/tranny before, so they can be trusted.

i recommend level10 to many people when options aren't always available, but they aren't always the best option.
