I was driving to kona from Hilo today, And right before I hit waimea, I got pulled over for speeding!!! WTF!?!? Ii was in a 55mph zone pacin the delivery truck in front of me. We came around a bend and was going down a hill that apparently turned into a 45mph zone. Apparently I was clocked going 59 in a 45. I told the cop that I just moved there and that this was the firsttime ever driving on big island. I still got the ticket, but i didn't want to argue cause the cop wasn't being a prick

I lived on the big island a few years ago.
I shipped my car from the states to there. Apparently the previous owners lived in hawaii and shipped it from HI to the mainland. I didnt know but my car still had a registration sticker on from like 3 years prior. I got pulled over for expired tags the first week i was there. I got out of the ticket, but it was a little silly. One bit of adivse. If your car every breaks down DO NOT leave it on the side of the rode. You will have no windows when you return. |

Yeah, it was a nice welcome gift!!
If my car ever breaksdown, I'll lockin all the doors and calling my friend from pahoa to pick me up!! Hahahaha. He's got a flatbed tow truck so he can pick up my car no prob. Then trek it to pahoa to his shop to fix it. Yeah, no way in hell am I leaving it on the side of the road haha |
