Hey wsup everyone. Just got an 04 mazda6 s blue color...love this car!!!...needed some of your opinions...i was reading about a problem with the mazda seats...i have the same problem as listed here...

http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?show...621&hl=seat

where the metal frame goes through the foam in the seat...i got the car from cutter ford so I know the warranty is done...i was wondering what you guys do with your seats? seat covers...if so what type? or if you replaced them out entirely what type would you recommend? definitely want to get started with this board and meetups although i would be quite embarrased to bring my plain old 6...hope to do at everyone else's level at some point...but if you could help me out with the seats i would greatly appreciate it...

ill post pics as soon as i wash the car...had it for 2 weeks now and the rain hasn't helped haha...thanks everyone...peace

One of the members here has replacement leather from leatherseats.com. It's really soft and much better quality than the oem leather that I have in the car right now. He goes by bigbaddad on here and maybe you can pm him or something. The 6 is definitely a good-looking car, stock or not.

ok thanks for letting me know that...are you referring to just the leather lay over car covers or oem leather? because right now I have the cloth seats...but yeah definitely the car is amazing stock or not...just love the ride man truly do...i bought a keyless entry remote off of ebay for the car because it didn't come with one...but i know it has the stock alarm...but for some reason it wont program...im going to buy a battery...if i can find a place that sells them, and see if thats the problem...thanks for welcoming me to the boards though...will post pics when i get the time..thanks again everyone and hope your weekends are going well

welcome! 2004 mazda 6 is a great year.
as for your seats, is the metal frame sticking through your cloth seat covers yet?
if not, i might be able to repair your foam, as long as it's not all torn/chewed up.
i've got quite a bit of cars and a truck lined up in the next few weeks, but maybe i could make some time to just take a look at it, and asess the damage, and see if i can actually repair it.
again....welcome!!!

By lights do you mean headlights? I'm running 6000k 35w HIDS in Acura TSX projectors for my low beams. That might be a little more "involved" and expensive than you might want to spend though. It's pretty bright and has a nice cutoff. If you're talking sidemarkers, then I'm running smoked LED sidemarkers in the front and rear. If your talking tailights, then I have some euro non-bulge LED retrofitted tails. All of these mods are pretty pricey though and I try not to think of how much spent on it... but anyways, there's a lot of info on different options you have.

No worries-my 6 is plain Jane too. Some of us go for the fellowship, some are enthusiasts and love to work on their cars. We run the gamut here.
