David has taken my 2.5i and his turbo legacy.... said he had a great time. The reason why we do not go is the hot sun, no shade porta potty, and the fact that it takes most of the day.
I do know a few guys who go every event and they are way to competitive for me. I would just go to see if I could get around without hitting a cone, which I know would piss most of the people there off. we still have helmets and i know I want to do it at some point. Do you have the speed 6? If I had a laid back crew to go with I would consider it. The guy is the 6 wagon is good, I know I always liked watching him. |

It would be great to see more 6's out there. I run the 6 wagon in STS which is the street tire class. If you are not an SCCA member, you need to get there early on race day to sign up for an open spot. Check the sccahawaii.org website for information about registration. The next event is October 5th. You just need closed toe shoes and a helmet. They also have loner helmets. Mostly everyone there are pretty cool and running over cones is just a part of the event (at least for me it is)! I would suggest having an instructor on your first runs since they can give you some good tips. It usually is pretty hot so bring sunscreen and water. It's usually a 1/2 day affair. If you run in the morning your done by 12:00, or in the afternoon done by 3:00. Hope to see some of you there.
