for those who have dropped ur car, what kind of springs do you have and how much is the drop? is it available for the v6? im looking for something to just close the fender gap. i don't really want an aggressive drop, maybe something like 1.5 front, and less than an inch rear. is a camberkit necessary?? Are Tanabe's good *that's the only springs i found with the drop i like*? Do they sag?

sorry so much questions, but to be completely honest, im pretty car illiterate. all i know about my car is how to fill up gas, drive it, and what mods i have....thats about it. LOL

get the mazdaspeed hatch/wagon springs, they are around 1.5 drop in the front and 1 inch in the back and you won't have to replace your stock shocks. there also won't be any rear sag so your wheel gaps will be even.

you can also get tein H-techs which claim a 1.5/1 drop too but i don't know if it will even out the gap.

we already rolled the back fenders a little bit, would i probably have to roll it a little more to prevent it from rubbing the tires?

If you get the mazdaspeed springs for the hatch you should be fine, and that will give you 1.5" in da front and about 1" in the rear (which was a little too low for my likes, and the cops liked to gimme shit for it) As far as gap these springs worked the best and looked the best

If ya want a little less of a drop the Race Beat springs are only .75" drop all around, but have a higher spring rate, which is what Im running now. These are sagging in the rear, but Im not a good judge for that as I gots a ton of junk in da trunk.

Check out the suspension section, there is a sticky on the types of springs avialable, what the drop is and people's review on how they ride. And remember, if ya drop it, you gotta recon it......hahahahahahahaha

i tend to put a lot of junk in the trunk too...wait! let me take that back...my bf likes to put all his crap from his car into my trunk LoL...as for recon, before i put it i'm gonna find out if i should be able to pass recon or not first. we know someone who works recon so i should be able to find out if it's legal or not. he's a real "by the book" kind of guy *thank goodness, dont wanna end up paying for something only to take it off later*, so i know it will be legal....thanks for the reminder about the recon though ...i forgot about that hahaha.

RacingBeat springs for V6 are nice.
Very mild drop. When I take it in for safety inspection, they don't even ask if it's been dropped.
Higher spring rate =
A little more agressive and you might want to go Eibach (Mazdaspeed). They're the same spring.
The most agressive spring would be the Tein S Tech.
Any lower than that and you will need to go with coil overs.
Daves (Cynt) got a set of springs that he might want to sell.....

I don't think David is planning on selling those until we know for sure if we are going to sell the Mazda.

i was thinking about possibly going with the racingbeat springs. they have a good deal on them right now. the springs & front/rear sway bar for about $430. but thats only if i can save enough before the sale ends LoL...plus from the pic of monkeyboys car, it looks like a nice drop. thats the kind of drop im looking for. u just made me swing more towards getting those LOL

hey cynt, what kind of springs do you have *if you sell em* and how much?? how much is the drop? is if the for 4cyl or v6?

-edit-
sorry cynt! i think u must have posted at the same time I was LoL...anyway, if you decide to sell, please let me know the specs on the springs. No rush
