So, from the time I picked up the rental car (yeah...don't be jealous - copper-looking 08 Chevy Aveo!), drove to Naval Base Pearl Harbor, then to the Dixie Grill, then to the Hilton Hawaiian Village - I saw spotted five mazda6's along the way.

One white 04-05 model, and four gray-silver ones (sorry...I couldn't figure out which of the 45 shades of grayness they were).

Anyone of you O'ahu members? Is there really that many Mazda6 owners on the island?

If so...Aloha my mazda6club friends!

Well damn....saw three more today. A black one with Kat-1 on the license plate...downtown Waikiki. A white Mazdaspeed on base. And a "grayness" one at the subway on base. What's the deal!!!!

Oh...also found out that if you stray over to the Hale Koa, the Tiki Bar....drinks are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper!!!!!! Well, having an active duty ID didn't factor in anywhere either......

And yeah...living in the PNW, then being out here for a day, on the pier loading equipment...I'm fried! Applying SPF 30 at 0800 doesn't quite help you at 2pm. Where's the motrin and the Tiki bar?!

you and I old man need to get together and do some mods. I gots a whole bathroom full of parts, and after riding in your 6 I kinda want the stock exhaust back on......tired of the drone, but not sure if the MF will have the same thing or not>?

OK....my last attempt at spotting one of you guys: On base, white 04-05, lowered, with some form of exhaust that isn't readily recognizable (Tanabe? Bosal? Not MF or Racing Beat), with the word "Street Glow", centered on the lower portion of the rear bumper.

Could this be you?

If not...I've struck out. I"m outta here tomorrow evening, with a really nice sunburn.

And to think, I've been working for the past week just around the corner, on the pier - doing work on the 721!
