Hey guys i was on my way to Chicago and a rock happened to scape my paint a little and it hit my side mirror! The dealership wanted 380$ to fix it the said you will need to replace the whole dang mirror and 120 for labor. It seems like you only need one part to complete this? please help
I could not put the picture on here it was big in size
What part of the mirror was damaged? You can get a mirror without the glass and not including the cover (the part thats painted) for about $120. That's for with heat and without blind spot monitoring. And it shouldn't be too difficult to replace yourself if you're mechanically inclined.
Then you'll need to replace the mirror itself. #1 in the attached diagram. This is the mirror without the glass or the cover (the painted part). Exactly which one you need to get will depend on the options of your vehicle, with or without blind spot monitoring, heated mirrors etc.
