Default back up light switch (awesome experience)

Okay so my reverse light switch went bad in my transmission no big deal ordered a new one, i got it out by cutting the clip off with a sazall and fitting a 21mm socket over it and using a piviting breaker bar no problem there again, but i cut the top off so now it leaks if i put it back in.

Well i ordered the right part from online or at least it said it was the right part (SMP/STANDARD NS-528) and the threads were too small. So then i used jb weld to seal it up untill the new one comes i hope it works.

So anyway has anyone else had this problem ? thats basically what i wanted to know, and share my awesome experience that has yet to end.
