I recently got under my car to replace the factory rear motor mount, with the CPE one. My motor was swaying and banging around in the engine compartment, same noise etc it made when i replaced the first factory mount with a new factory mount.
Upon getting under the car i come to find my mount is in perfect condition, but the Bracket that it bolts to on the sub-frame, had broken off. I am unsure of exactly how to fix this, I'm going to take it to a muffler shop and see if they can "re-weld" the bracket onto the sub-frame, but am a bit worried it will happen again.
Any advice on this? Will a "re-weld work or is there another fix or an ideas from the community out there?
FYI: i am a spirited driver but not extreme.
