I'm not positive, but it seems like a waste of time on NA. If i'm not mistaken the FI guys use it so they can up their boost a bit safely. Since you wouldn't have that option, you wouldn't see much of a gain if any. Don't quote me though.

There is a point on a NA, do a search on the devils own kit I had installed. You will not get the same gains as a turbo or SC car but you still pick up around 18whp with tuning. Thats with about every mod you can do to a NA 6 with a unichip for a tuner.

I would not advise it on a stock 6, then it would not be worth it. Most of my gains were with timing adjusted to the max and also spraying the snow performance nitro booster with the water meth combo.

I went throught a couple bumps in the road with the tuning, we had to use a DO3 nozzle...started with DO1 and it didn't do crap. With the DO3 we were able to get the car to run rich and tuned it to 13:1 AFR and maxed timing. Then it was worth it....

These are some of the mods I did in the power dept for it being a NA....but soon it will be a SC beast!!
Adjustable Fan Controller w/ Coolant Thermal Sensor
B&M Transmission Cooler
Chrome K&N Filter for Crank Case Vent
Coolant bypass on Throttlebody
CP-E Intake ***Custom 4inch to 3 inch with Unichip tuning
Devils Own Water Meth Injection with Nitro booster
EGR Mod
Fitch Fuel Catalyst
Fluidampr Underdrive Pulley
HKS Carbon Fiber Ti Cat back Exhaust
HKS Grounding System
K&N 9x6 filter with blue dry charger.
Magnaflow Hi Flow cat
MSD Stacker 8
MSDS Headers
NRG EPAC 4 interior volt Stabilizer
Oil Catch Can
QTEC Electric Exhaust Cut Out
Royal Purple Racing Fluids
Sniper Coils
Steeda TBS
Sun Auto Voltage GT
TW 69 down to 64MM Throttle Body
Vibrant Resonator

Good luck and have fun with your car.

gains will be seen NA or boosted, so its not a waste of time either way. a stock 6 will see gains as well

but the use of it will only work with tuning for either boosted/na/stock or modified vehicle.

see my sig for tuning

Cant wait to see you with W/M installed. The manifold spacer will have direct port holes if you want to go that way. The direct port kits are about $150 more because of the extra nozzles.

+1000000 on the tuning!

So is the benefit with a na vehicle noticed by advancing the timing and a cooler intake charge or are there other factors that my sleepy ass can't comprehend right now?

timing adjustments are a big part of NA power making. tho its not the only thing, and it takes things to bring it together. without the help of a power adder, Air/Fuel will not get the most of the engine.

dont be confused....

advancing timing only makes power to a certain point and sometimes timing advancment may even cause a lil power loss. Timing is a very testy part of tuning. and can make or break an engine.

Rule of thumb:

"max advance doesnt mean max power"

Advance timing until power isnt made or you hit a wall or deto, then back off two degrees or so. and your good.

Every car makes power with different adjustment.

Also, remember that this will push your octane rating up to 110 if you fill your car with 92. You get to tune for that!!!

well looks like its official. I'm going to have to find someone in my area that knows stuff about tuning. There is only so much that i can pick up online. I guess i'll have to put the meth on my list after the cai and tuner and anything else that i can't think of at the moment.
