Iv read over and over and i just wanna get peoples personal opinion..alright i want the msds headers but if i can go cheaper than the 700 id like to..i was thinking about buying the headers and having a shop make me the mid and Y pipe, i live in iowa we have no emission testing so i wont have any cats, just mufflers and was thinking ti would be cheaper just to have a shop make them, has anyone done this and will it work just as well as the piping from msds? as long as i get the same size piping? thanks guys.

so u think im better off paying 700 for all of it rather then getting it cut by a shop? and the way u say will/maybe or whatever makes it seem like it might not work and i dont see why not? any other opinions???

i would say just get the y-pipe with the msds system.
i don't know how much a shop would charge, but i'm guessin it'd be either close to the same or more/less, but not enough to make it noticeable. and then you'll be sure the y-pipe is correct with fitment and everything.

Not to mention that having a shop fab up a y-pipe you'll more than likely end up with crinkled or crushed bends and have something even worse than the factory Contour y-pipe. So it's sort of self defeating to have well flowing headers and have it all corked right back up from some cheap muffler shop's y-pipe.

Basicaly, MSDS's welds and bends are super and I wouldn't risk having a shop screw it up. Just bite the bullet. I did, My_Low (My_Lo...whatever) did....this shit rocks!

I was just on the MSDS website www.msdsinc.com and noticed a Columbus Day sale that goes thru 10/31.
Looks like they are offering less 30%, in my lingo that's $223.00 off of the $745.00 price on the complete system (catless). If I can get these for $522.00, I'm in on headers as of Monday |
