Does anybody have and engine bay picture with a AEM SRI or similar?? from the pictures that i've seen here from the search it looks like it still goes down into the front bumperlike a CAI.

Also, I didn't realize the AEM intake still use the "accordian" tube from the OEM setup for both CAI and SRI, is this true??

I have a K&N CCA which can be either a SRI or CAI. I have it as a SRI now for a while because of a lean code it tripped a year ago and never went back. And no accordion tube on the K&N, just the elbow.

Sorry no pics of it, the engine is dirty tho lol...

thanks for the replies guys.

I went on ebay and got this SRI from Weapon R it was $129. Hopefully it doesn't bring a CEL with it. I'll just try a remove that "cage" from the filter.

Do you know if the interior diameter of the K&N is any larger than the stock accordion?

Not sure, sorry, but the elbow fits the TB and the filter's flange is 2.75" if that helps any.

Edit: Took a quick look at the instructions online and confirmed the tubing is 2.75".

Did you get the Weapon R on yet?
If so... how's the quality of the product?
Have you noticed any gains?

yeah I did get it and I "felt" a good amount of gains. Good torque. There are some flaws though, the filter/cage looking setup is so cheap i couldn't believe it. it was made out of plastic and the filter wasn't even secured to the pipe, it was just "placed" on the filter. Alsohe filter element looked and felt like a sponge. I went change that setp, I'll take some pictures later. Overall quality was pretty good, you just have to change the filter and find a way to mount it (with the bracket) the instructions was really vague on how to use it.

Also, No Cel thus far. Drove it for a week, some "spirited" driving also to get some air in the engine.

The foam filter doesn't concern me. I've run UNI foam filters on my bikes for years. They are no better or worse than K&N gauze filters.

I does kinda' concern me that it's just "placed" on a cheap plastic cage though.
