That setup could be customized to work with our M6. The location of intake, throttle body, and the belt is not much different.

For those who want to see more... search Ripp Supercharger (most commonly used on eclipses and tiburons).

Which side is the belt on for our cars? It kinda looks funny though. Would it still produce the same amount of HP as a regular SC? (not sure if the long drive shaft would cause HP loss)

Edit: theres a forum post on their website about this http://forum.rippmods.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_...rchTerms=mazda6

Here is the problem I have, it uses a jackshaft (That long tube with the pulley on the end). I don't think Vortech ever got it right on the Contour/Cougar application. They made three revisions to the kit before discontinuing it, and the jackshaft broke on all three revisions with little use.

I've always said the hood clearance is there for a Whipple or Eaton Lysholm-style compressor. The incredibly insane Kenne-Bell supercharged Mustang making 750-800 BHP with nothing more than a bolt-on supercharger, uses a large displacement Lysholm-style compressor. You would just loose the intake runners all together to clear the stock hood line, but who really cares about low end torque at 8 PSI and some 375 BHP?

I still think someone here should contact Arizona Dyno Chip, they do awesome turbo setups, as you can see right there
