If you get the mazdaspeed springs for the hatch you should be fine, and that will give you 1.5" in da front and about 1" in the rear (which was a little too low for my likes, and the cops liked to gimme shit for it) As far as gap these springs worked the best and looked the best

If ya want a little less of a drop the Race Beat springs are only .75" drop all around, but have a higher spring rate, which is what Im running now. These are sagging in the rear, but Im not a good judge for that as I gots a ton of junk in da trunk.

Check out the suspension section, there is a sticky on the types of springs avialable, what the drop is and people's review on how they ride. And remember, if ya drop it, you gotta recon it......hahahahahahahaha[/b]

i tend to put a lot of junk in the trunk too...wait! let me take that back...my bf likes to put all his crap from his car into my trunk LoL...as for recon, before i put it i'm gonna find out if i should be able to pass recon or not first. we know someone who works recon so i should be able to find out if it's legal or not. he's a real "by the book" kind of guy *thank goodness, dont wanna end up paying for something only to take it off later*, so i know it will be legal....thanks for the reminder about the recon though ...i forgot about that hahaha.
