Cracked 50K - Service ?'s

I know there was already a thread started for what a member did for the 50k service to our 6's, but for the life of me I can't find it. The dealer just shot me an email telling me it's time for my 50k service. Does anyone know what all services are completed at 50k (or just a link to the other thread would be great)?

Edit: I found the other thread and it was actually just a 50K ATX transmission fluid change, which apparently doesn't even need to be done until maybe 100K.

Does anyone know what other checks/services that is supposed to be performed at 50K? I'm just trying to determine what things I can tackle on my own (if any at all). I'm sure they check brakes, and all other suspension/steering components (which should all be fine) so I'm wondering if this is just one of those $$$ grabs by the dealer recommending a 50K service.

I changed my plugs at 50k and found that it had a modest, but material impact on idle smoothness. My struts and shocks were ok and in fact are just starting to get a bit loose on the dampening now as I approach 100k.

You dont need to change your shock absorbers unless they are blown. I found the link on mazda for your schedule maintenance service.

https://www.mazdausa.com/siteassets/...e-schedule.pdf

looks like its just an oil change, air filter, cabin air filter.

I've found my engine air filter has roughly a 30k mile cycle life in my driving situation. YMMV; if you live where dusty conditions are common you may have a MUCH shorter cycle. It's worth checking when you change the oil.

BTW get the cabin filters online; they're non-critical and the Mazda stealer price is insane. I also prefer the carbon-impregnated versions, which aren't available from Mazda at all.

Sounds like it's definitely a case of being able to avoid the dealer!

Getting the oil changed next week, just cleaned my SRI filter the other day, and i'll pick up a cabin filter online.

Thanks everyone.
