So after putting my stock intake back in for the winter to bring back my mileage (22,23 mpg) to the usual 26-29 mpg with everything pretty much stock, I was off to do some cabin time Without using the cruise control and keeping a steady 120KM/hr (~75mph) I will end up getting the SAME mileage .

As usual, no codes, no weird squeeks or rattles (that I know of). The only last thing that I have to check on is why my lights seem to dim after I accelerate. Correct me if I am wrong, but if I am not pulling enough amps for a full spark, would I miss on mpg?

One would think that city driving might produce more juice as I usually accelerate hard and between 3-4,000 rpms (or higher if I am bored lol). Highway driving it sits around 3,000 rpms.

Ideas?

Well, I was going to mention the fact that you are in Edmonton AB and it's like -392.77°. That would equate to a longer time enriched fuel mixture. but just for s#its and giggles, I googled your weather and it's actually only 5°C warmer in N Texas today. I've been getting pretty good mileage lately since it's not 50° every dayum day. (27.2 mpg combined last fill-up! Yay)

Ya I had factored in the change in weather (changed to winter tires for TWO days of ice and then it all melts here and been dry for quite some time). Weird thing is, I can't seem to lean out this car! I have even tried to create a vacuum leak and revving for a bit over 3,000rpm and no codes. I think I am going to buy myself either a Scangauge or buy a A/F gauge to see what is going on.

I also just recently lowered my car with Springtech springs and Tokico shocks and the ride is AMAZING and this is my winter car lol

That could be the downfall? Maybe you have too much camber going on generating very mild but noticeable friction in your mpg. Just a thought

I doubt reduced camber would increase drag, but significant positive or negative toe might. A bad alignment could be wasting gas and accelerating tire wear.

Thought as much, but there are no vibrations, pull to any side. MPG is about the same before and after the drop so I think I can rule that out. I know of automatics in the real world get good city mpg and not as good on highway.

Now, anyone had any issues with the EGR causing such numbers? Either a sticky valve or stuck open but no cel?
