At the dealer, is it true they have no choice in choosing what calibration for the car except for the latest one? Is the latest calibration always best for power? Even so, it should be possible to choose which country file for the particular car:

for the most part the dealer does what it is told, Mazda only wants people running the current flash as it's been updated with any issues/resolutions that have come up in the past. the only 4 flashes really for each platform (2 for speed) are the US flash and the Green States flash, then you have atx/mtx ecu's as well.


there is no point in thinking a dealer can do anything performance oritentated for you in regards to the ecu.

Mazda marks all their ECU flashes as "Federal Emissions Updates" which makes it a federal offense to flash back to a previous file revision.
