Hello Everybody. So, my 03 6i has reached the 80,000 miles and while cleaning the glove compartment I found out that I never did the 60,000 miles service. Now I called the dealership to see what involves the service and it looks pretty good (expect for the price though). Anyway, my car was some aftermarket upgrades that you can check in "my garage" so im thinking that they might give me a hard time about the service. What dou you guys think? Should I take the car regarless of all the mods or not?
For those who dont know about what the service package includes, here it is:
Lube, oil & filter change
Tire rotate and Balance
Replace Air Filter
Replace fuel Filter
32 point car inspection
replace spark plugs
MOC transmission fluid exchange
MOC Coolant fluid exchange
MOC decard/Throlle body vacu flush
lube steering link door/hood hinges
check and adjust engine base idle and timming
tighten chassis and body bolts

You're out of warranty, what do they care if you have mods or not? If they give you any difficulty, tell them that you are a client, and won't be spoken to disrespectfully. If they continue, take your business elsewhere, to someone who will appreciate your money. Then complain up the ladder at the dealership.

This is assuming that you don't have some sort of extended warranty.

You can do everything that's on that list yourself, though.

Transmission failure due to improperly (factory) installed dowel pin at 65k.
Alternator failure at 75k.
Engine failure due to known engine problems at 81k.
Seat foam failure repeatedly, another known issue, at 48k and 65k.

Good job, Mazda, you've manage to drive away another customer.

Thanks for the input. Yes Im already outta warranty. You were right about doing must of the stuff myself, the thing is time time time. I guess what I can do is just do whatever I can and then let them do the rest.

Thanks again

Fuel filter is inside the gas tank. So in a way, not really serviceable like any other car :P

How much are they asking for the service?
