Hesitations?

this problem i am having defenitely has me more than stumped. my car ALMOST hesitates. and that's the weird part...when i am driving down the highway, it almost studders, almost seems like it is mis-firing. it feels kind of like i am hydroplaning. it's such a small hesitation that it is not noticeable to my passengers. i barely have 30,000 miles on it...so i don't think it has anything to do with fuel delivery (fuel pump and/or line, or injectors). the other day i was testing it out on the highway at 70 and in town around 40, but when i cruised slow, almost idling, it started to lurch like in an mtx when coming to nearly a complete stop without using the clutch. not sure what it is...so i bought a small bottle of lucas injector cleaner and am going to add it to the tank on the next fill-up and see if that helps. but with gas at 3.00 a gallon, i might never fill the thing up...just a little here and there. anybody have the same problem with an atx or have any insight?

My ATX would sometimes do something I believe is similar but only when I used cruise control. It seemed almost as if the accelerator would briefly disengage then go back to normal. It did feel pretty odd to me but my friend who rides with me alot did not notice. It did not seem to have any pattern to it other than it only ever happened on relatively flat areas of the highway where the car doesnt need to use much gas to keep going.
