Hello everyone, well this is my first post but not my first time visiting this forum, which I must say is excellent for information. So a big hello to you wherever you are.
I hope someone can possibly help me out with my first post or share like experiences. I have a 2003 2.0 Mazda 6 (diesel) with approx 87,000 miles on the clock. Recently I have noticed that the car (engine) will cut out when applying revs to the accelerator and not restart until I have let it sit with everything off for a minute or so before retrying. If I try before this then it just turns over. Now my question is whether this sounds like a user (ie me) problem or something in the car. It has only started to happen these last few months, but not all the time, I havent changed the way I drive and have the car over a year now, before this it was going fine. I’ll give you an example, I was turning onto a dual carriageway and was coming down a slip road in second gear, car still moving, I looked to see if all was clear and put some revs on the accelerator and got a cut out. I explained to my father about this to see if he would know anything that may have caused this and he said it is possibly because I was in 2nd gear or not giving it enough juice. However I had the same happen to me in 1st gear just recently when pulling out of a parking space. Anyone any ideas if this is an underlying fault or is it just me? Thanks for all your help and assistance. ZenZen |
