got top end rattle on 2003 mazda 6 diesel. suspected cam shaft bearings. do the cam shaft bearing come seperate to the cylinder head. how difficult is this to do. when you turn the on the ignition it sounds normal but putting down the accelarator makes a horrible loud ticking/rattling noise. anybody got any ideas because we've had life long mechanics looking at it and cant find the problem. does anybody have a 2.0L diesel manual as this would be a big help

i think i have the same problem with mine mazda 6 2007. 2.0l , when i crank up the acceleration nothing , perfect sound , but when it decelerates it sends a ratteling sound , like something is grinding or something like that. Going to the mechanic on monday .... i"ll post the detection...
